no it's just a muscle relaxer...has almost no recreational value if you ask me...soma is a muscle relaxer that has a small rec value but most do not.
 
I was wondering if it was a tca but it seems like when they synthesized it to be a tca they were unsuccessful

Yeah I used to be on zanaflex kinda reminded me of a short acting benzo

Tizanidine (Zanaflex) is the most recreational??? how?? do you snort it or what mrflowers00?

Cyclobenzaprine (Flexeril) is closely related to TCAs and is not recreational IMO.

Carisoprodol (Soma) is highly recreational and abusable in my opinion.
 
It's good if you're in withdrawals and that's the only thing you can find but otherwise it makes me feel retarded and dopey. It's a lame muscle relaxer and if your idea of high is drooling on yourself and feeling mightily confused, take 2! Otherwise, keep 'em around for emergencies such as dope sickness.
 
that's because they are not for pain...they are muscle relaxers, not pain killers...they work well for spasms and such, however, I believe cyclo is used for skeletal pain sometimes...and like I said soma is mildly recreational, but I would pick any opiate or benzo over it every day. It's about as recreational as gabapentin or something.
 
I have had Cyclobenzaprine as well, it was the branded Flexeril. I used it as a potentiator/additive/synergy and it worked quite well for opiates like oxycodone and codeine. It even had a sort of synergy with benzos but I wouldn't really call it a potentiator; at the same time, I do not know the science at the moment. I also noted that I could take it and if I smoked a bowl or two of marijuana once I felt it come on it definitely added to the experience as far as euphoria and a sort of analgesia in a weird muscle relaxant kind of way.
 
Flexeril/Cyclobenzaprine taken with Ultrams and Ativans (I can't advise on amounts. I just take some when I do take some.)

All together makes for a full day of sleepy sleep.

I think you may be a little bit confused on what exactly constitutes as a "pain killer". Narcotics (i assume that's what you are referring too as a painkiller) are one type of many, many different types of medicine used to alleviate pain. I understand that cyclobenzaprine is a muscle relaxer, however how many people do you know that go to a doctor and say "You know, i don't have any pain at all but gosh i need a muscle relaxer"? My guess is not very many. You are correct in that they are made to be used to help with spasms and muscle tension, but if those exact things did not cause pain or discomfort then there would not be very much use for it or any muscle relaxer on that logic eh?

bahaha I love that you are trying to teach me about pharmacology...i'm a third year med student my man...i'm not going to argue about something so idiotic. Pain killers are treating symptoms, muscle relaxers are treating the cause. If you have pain that is coming from a muscle spasm, a muscle relaxer would be helping the pain by treating the cause of it. So you saying "ohh they suck for pain" is a broad statement that makes you seem like you know nothing.
 
This is going down the road of what muscle relaxer is most recreational and doesn't seem like OD material to me, and the OPs question was answered. IMO it's time to close this.
