I think the idea is to save your liver with rectal administration. Which is a true but i wonder if it being absorbed through your colon is any better?
 
You do not save your liver in rectal administration, simply because all of the drugs stated are still metabolized by the liver, no mater how they get in your body.

A lot of things are even proven worse for your liver through rectal administration, due to more of the drug being absorbed faster and building up in your blood.

The only thing that is the most proven way to save your liver is watching the dosage, or not using at all.
