Cutting dried mushrooms

Hey all,
long time lurker, but I finally have a question that hasn't been assessed and easily found.

I want to cut up dried mushrooms for easier storage purposes. Is there any harm in doing so? I'd assume not, but jsut want to make sure.

Lol. Mushrooms in pieces are the same potency as mushrooms whole.

grind them up and put them in gelcaps. Then you won't have to chew and taste them.
