So I guess this my first real post. Please correct me if I am doing this wrong.

I know someone who was recently cut off on their pain meds by their physician.

This person is now considering ordering their medication online without a prescription. This person a has a legitimate need for the meds and does not abuse them. Their doctor is just a little scared and that is understandable.

Two questions. If ordering a 3 month supply of a prescription from an online pharmacy without an active script, what is the likely hood of getting into trouble and how much trouble could this person get into?

Thanks in advance and again I am a newb so please be gentle and correct me if I am doing something wrong.

Yes, you will get in trouble if the script isn't active, it's no different than someone without a script trying to get it, but as to how much trouble exactually I'm not sure, but it would be a felony. And you don't need to bother with the "I know a person" thing, it doesn't do anything to sheild you legally, just like SWIM doesn't either.

-Edit
My recommendation would be to switch doctors, then just show your old pain scripts to your new doc and tell him that they are the only things that help you, I'm sure he'll work with you.

Moved from homeless.

I agree with the above poster - if the doctor is unwilling to continue to give your friend his meds he should seek another doctor before ordering online. First he needs to speak with his original doctor and ask the reason why he is stopping his medication.

So if this person orders 180 50mgs of tramadol from an India pharmacy they still run the risk of law enforcement getting involved? Seems like a waste of resources to go through the trouble of such a small amount of a schedule 4 drug.

Pretty sure this sort of discussion isn't allowed but someone else can make that decision. As for law enforcement, as long as the packaging and shipping is stealth, there is a likelihood it will go under the radar. If I were your friend my bigger concern would be the vendor sending the correct medication. There is no fda in many countries meaning no mandatory pill imprints. For all your friend knows they could be getting a vitamin pressed into something that looks like tramadol, or maybe even tramadol pressed into a vitamin for stealth but you would never know 100% unless your friend was clean, took the foreign medication, and then a drug test.

^ You're right, we don't allow this sort of discussion. There's no way to know what could happen if you go ahead and order these meds. Another concern would be if your friend goes from doctor 1 to a second doctor, they may want to know why he was cut off. That opens another can of worms so to speak so I have to close this.
