Hi guys,
First post , seems like whenever looking something up it takes me to this forum, so time to join.
Kicked a few times and have a bad injury that flares up from time to time, but when it happens I always tell my self I'm not going to get addicted again. But it happened and always happens. This time I was RX'd plenty of Oxy ( roxy 30mg) .
I was starting to have a good time ( which I should not have) and in 6 months I was dosing 120-150 mg at a time sometimes 3-4 times a day. Quick math says I was doing 600mg on some days. It didn't take long to get here as I was opiate tolerant when the pain started again. so it was min 90 mg to stop the pain and I was off them for 4 months.
Anyways I saw I was out of control so I tapered and have got my self stable at 330 mg / day. I still feel stupid for getting this far out of control but I feel good that the past 3 weeks I showed some control and have got into a decent range.
Seems breaking this 300 mark is tough. And I have 12 sub strips from when I quit last time. So my questions. Sorry so many.
!. QT from 300 is much much easier than from 600? is that true or am I just kidding my self?
2. Should I keep pushing the taper and try to get to 200? or as low as I can and then quit?
3. Should I just stop now and use my sub strips to finish the taper. Last time I quit from about 260 mg with sub and was done in 2 weeks with only being out of work for 3 days and I have to say it was easier than QT and I didn't have the weird shit you have after going QT. I guess you could call it PAWS. No energy, but the taper on the sub allowed me to get back to work much faster and didn't have that much of a loss of energy.
So my plan is to stop.
What would you guys suggest. I have a DR that is willing to RX methadone, but I don't want that, never did it but don't think I need that.
Definitely don't want a maintenance plan. I want to be off drugs by The new year.
Thanks for your time.
