crystallisation methods and possiblities?

hi it has been posed alot about purifying by crystallisation but was looking for info on how to combine two different types of crystals into one ?.
there was a recieved a crystalline subject that had another crystalline subject put with it, not concerned about this except they are essentially separate from each other so is it possible to use a solvent to dilute the 2 subjects together and then recrystallise into one form? any info would be great

I assume you are talking about a dual-solvent re-crystallisation, of for example methamphetamine powder into crystals. It is a process that isn't too difficult however most people just do a single solvent wash, to get rid of cutters.

I hope you aren't trying to find out how to recrystallise an active compound with an inactive compound to cut something down and sell...

Different crystals solidify at different temperatures. If the two different things that you have look different, it will be obvious in the final product that they are indeed two separate chemicals. The mineral with that solidifies first out of the solution, may appear as an inclusion in the final crystal.

Think of granite for example. It's one rock, but you can clearly see the quartz, feldspar, and mica, which all crystallized from the same lava body.

Heat may be the only thing that you can use to combine the crystals, and as I said, they may appear as inclusions within a bigger crystal if they look different, or at the very least, the crystal will appear cloudy or a different shade that usual. If you simply dissolve them, they will just recrystallize separately, and you will have the same mixture as you would if you had just mixed them very well in their solid state.

Finally, don't try to rip someone off by cutting their product.

i wasnt concerened bout it when was seen but my friend was frustrated by them being separate as he intended to give to friends who were kind of over critical so rather than have them pick the crap out ,he just wanted to form it into one as he would loose too much via purification,
he has mentioned he intends to use heated acetone with alcohol to dilute both and let evaporate to recrystallise, but i told him not to attempt incase he ruins it for himself but he wont listen so i jumped on here to get info for him before he does somthing he might regret
they both look identical but one melts faster than the other the way to tell simply was to scratch a tiny amount off and taste as they tasted different.

This is sounds too much like you've got a mixture of MSM crystals and Meth crystals and want to make it all the same.

It sounds like your friend has bunk shit and he wants to make it harder to notice this fact when he sells it...
