Hey guys. I've used the search function, but I wanted to get more specific responses. This past week I've just started using meth to study b/c of bullshit with my school's doc and not being able to get the amount of adderall I needed. I hope I don't get flamed--but I found the meth very helpful for studying (albeit an expensive method). Does anyone else use meth to study/work? I had two tests (thurs and fri) and I started using tues night and kind of alternated short naps and meth use (small bumps). I stopped using it when my tests were done..but saturday and today I have been so exhausted, it's taking me hours to wake up. Even drinking lots of coffee and some ritalin doesn't do anything! Is this what meth withdrawal is like? How do you guys alleviate this?

I think that it can help you study, but you have to be careful that by the time you get to say a test or something, you aren't so strung out that you can't concentrate on the damn questions. Make sure that you give your body some kind of fuel, as well as keeping yourself hydrated. Try some soup or slim fast, friut too, so that you can stay alert and avoid that horrible headache/stomach cramps that can happen from being up and not eating.
It can be very helpful for that extra energy, I know, I'm a student too, but you have to be careful that you don't depend on it for energy to do schoolwork, meaning don't find yourself saying, "I'll put this work off because if I get a 20 then I can do it all in one night." You may be wired but the hours do pass by fast.
I'd be careful about combining rittalin with meth if it isn't perscribed to you, you'd have to research what the combined effects are to know if you are really safe. The best thing to do the day after is to drink lots of fluids, re-hydrate, smoke some weed and get some rest. It makes me cranky when I come down so I'd avoid talking to people that piss you off normally :)

as BodyMovin was talking about keeping your body fueled.
peanut butter sandwiches(as long as you're not allergic of course) are your friends.
tons of carbs and fats that'll help if you're pulling an allnighter with crystal so u can avoid having your body burn off fat reserves or muscle tissue.

I also started using meth to help me through my studies due to the fact that it does initially (day 1 of use) increase stamina, alertness and concentration. I also found it helped me articulate things better....initially.
Be carefull.
I am now addicted, my weekend (recreational use-drinking men under the table) and two day study fest manifested into a very regular three and four day binging cycle.
It is very easy for you to fall into this expensive, malnourished state where you become more disorganised than organised. I was in denial for a long time. Is hard habit for me to break anyway.

hey guys, thanks for the replies. I read lots about meth before I tried it...but I didn't get the as pleasurable feelings as have been described (maybe I didn't do enough? Im also on an SSRI, zoloft) by others..so Im aware of the dangers of becoming hooked by it.
Im prescribed ritalin so it's fine...I just can't seem to shake off the fatigue/sleepiness even if I take ritalin, so I thought it might have been meth wihtdrawal...maybe it just leaves me messed up for a while, like e does the day after..

That is not withdrawel effects u r feeling.
That is simply your body reacting to the strain it has been under through the influence of the meth.
You said u have done a search, so u would have known that practicing pre-load and post-loading helps to protect your brain and your body from negative effects that drugs like meth give out.
I do not have the perfect pre/post-loading guide handy, but there is about 100 different guides all over the net, and not too hard to find even in bluelight.
A quick help will be to take alot of antioxidants, (c,b+e especially)
berrocca, and tea, are good.
also taking roughly 500 mlgs of magnesium after your ride will help with the clentching of your jaw and other relative muscles.
About 1000 mlgs of vit c will prolly do the trick, but make sure its a full 36 hours b4 the nest meth trip, other wise u will be really messing up your sleep patterns.
having naps may help but remember when u sleep u really need a MINIMUM of 3 hours before your body really starts to produce seratonin cells, and your body can revive a bit.
Using meth for study is NOT a good idea.
using meth because "YOU HAVE TO" is not an appropriate decicion.
Not to mention that you DO find yourself hooked / needing it every time u read a book, or write an exam.
Be carefull.

Thats very true and there are alot of people out there that have the same peoplem, as some of my friends, and as much as I have done meth, or Will do meth, every1 has to practice moderation.
Please dont think this is a lecture, Its simply advice from some1 who has been there and done that, and doesnt want to see ANYONE lose sight of the bigger picture.
This is your health, remember that.
(information taken from http://www.bluelight.ru/cgi/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=19&t=012120)
Psychological symptoms exhibited by a person who is using amphetamines (particularly methamphetamine) are disturbed sleep patterns, panic, paranoia, anxiousness, nervousness, aggressive/violent behavior, withdrawal from other people, disinterest in friends/family, disinterest in sex, disinterest in food, moodiness/irritability, false sense of confidence and power, severe depression, and long term psychological problems (resembling schizophrenia).
In overdose, unless there is medical intervention, high fever, convulsions, and cardiovascular collapse may precede death. Because accidential death is partially due to the effects of amphetamines and other stimulants on the body's cardiovascular and temperature-regulating systems, physical exertion increases the hazard of amphetamine use.
I hope this helps u alot, and shows u that there is endless information out there; add it to your own personal experienses, and u will learn alot.
