Crossfading

I prefer drinking before the pot. but only in moderation (the drinking that is).

too much and you'll be driving the porcelain bus.

use in moderation!

being super drunk and super stoned at the same time is not something that i enjoy, and i tend to get myself in that position somewhat frequently :(

that being said, being just kinda buzzed and just a little bit high will make for a fun night!

If I drink and smoke, I walk a fine line between being fucked up and having the world spin, inevitably ending in me puking and getting tired.

Smoke, then drink.

I'm glad everyone else explained what crossfading was --- guess it's not an East Coast thing?

Anyway...smoke first, then drink...try to pace yourself, they both increase the effects of each other and you can puke. I mix them in both orders throughout the night but usually just with beer (don't really drink liquor).

OP, have fun and be safe --- and go easy on the liquor! (try to stick to one type...if you mix them, you're more likely to get sick and/or a nasty hangover the next day)

^I'm assuming you're young? It's not really all that special and it's not an east or west coast thing. I don't know of one party or social gathering I've been to that doesn't involve some level of smoking weed and/or drinking beers.

There's no real science to it either.

I love drinking and smoking, smoke before drink smoke after. Its the best, I have never greened out or thrown up from drinking and smoking before or after. I have like 15 beers then cranks a couple of big ass dubies like zig zags rolled hell fat. For some reason the two interact perfectly for me :) probably my favourite combination haha.

....I'm assuming that you don't know what he meant, because he was referring to the term "crossfading" being a westcoast thing-- not what it implies.

Now go ahead... apologize.

I meant the terminology --- the only way to enjoy some beers is with some bud.

I've just never ever heard "crossfading" before...I don't think anyone I know actually has a proper name for the mix, it's just sorta assumed if you're having drinks you're blazin too. I'm 22...I've done my partying and being away at college --- I'm quite familiar with the mix.

Just saw Jibult's comment --- I'm a she actually :) but yep...that's the only bad thing about the internet sometimes, haha.

^just the tone of your post made it seem like it was this "big thing"

Hmm sorry about that I guess, I re-read it a few times...but yeah, I'm a linguist so the terminology is interesting to me, I should have been more clear that it was the term I was unfamiliar with.

Actually today I asked around, no one else has heard of it either haha. We don't have any kind of special name that I know of. Always interesting how these terms differ even from city to city.

When i was in the 8th grade (lol it was last year) i did that shit every weekend (in portugal u can buy boose at the age of 16 :D) damn... i cant remember sh*it..

First smoke then drink for surre! Then just pack bowls thoughout until u hit ur limit :)
haha i call it being intoxifaded

"Crossfading" is a new one for me too and I've been drinking and smoking in tandem for quite a while.

I used to get the spins and be horribly fucked up if I smoked after getting pretty drunk - but by now I've amassed a tolerance to alcohol so I usually don't smoke until I'm about 4 drinks in these days - if you can handle it, I find that having a strong alcohol buzz already punches up the high a lot as opposed to being high and then slowly transitioning into a primarily drunk feeling which tends to happen when you smoke first and then go out drinking.

Beer and grass, you're on your arse.
Grass and beer, you're in the clear.

But beer and grass is way more fun.
