Trazodone isnt classed as an addictive drug as the sedation it causes, although potent, for most people is unpleasant.
Trazodone should be able to substitute for mirtazapine for sleep as they both work through the same method ie. H1 antagonism (antihistamine).
Personally, i prefer mirtazapine to trazodone as i think mirtazapine is alot more relaxing then trazodone and seems to work better with my anxiety.
50-100mg of trazodone should be enough to substitute for the mirtazapine, unless you have an insane antihistamine tolerance.
Others antihistamines are a viable alternative aswell (promethazine, diphenhydramine and hydroxyzine for example) and will likely have less side effects.
