I am a 34 year old female, I have been addicted to opiates since age 19. I am currently on Methadone, and have been on and off of the program for over 10 yrs. because of incarceration. I have a problem with eating benzos. I am not addicted to them and never feel that I have been, but there is something that keeps me going back and back again. I am in a wonderful relationship and my BF is in the methadone program as well, and we use benzos together all the time. I suppose, just like every other relationship, when drugs come into play, things get fucked up. Other than that we are completely happy, and are certain we have found our "soulmate". We have a few ?'s that we hope some people can help us with. #1 - Methadone has seemed to have a serious impact on our sex life. Libido and ability to perform (impotency). Does anyone have any advice on how to work around this, or how top just come to terms with it a;together. #2 - and this one might seriously piss some people off, but it is my business, and I DO respect and value anyones opinion that is stated with respect. I am pregnant. I have had a child on methadone before, my concern is the benzos. I did use them in my last pregnancy, and maybe I got "lucky" so to speak. But, there were A LOT of things that I thought were good factors that I attribute to benzos. The fact that the doctors said that I would not be able to vaginally deliver my 8 lb. 12 oz. son after having my last child c-section. BTW, the child that was born c-section passed away at 1 and 1/2 months old. Due to acute bronchial pneumonia. Neither the emergency c-section, nor the passing was drug-related. I believe that the use of benos the day that I gave birth considerably helped relax my body and helped in my "one-push" non-induced delivery. IDK, I do know that every pregnancy is different, and even though I used benzos very heavily in my last pregnancy, does NOT mean there will be no ill effects in this one. Just for info. sake, I was using 10-15 bars a week throughout my last pregnancy. They were prescribed to me, and I purchased them off the internet. And could someone PLEASE tell me how in the hell you get your profile picture on here? I tried copy and paste, and scrolling the photo from one page to the next. PLEASE help me get my picture up.
