Creatine

I've heard a lot of good and bad about creatine. What do you guys think about it? ATM I'm not really into working out a lot but I do work out around 4 times a week or so. Could creatine benefit me? Any recommended brands? How many grams per day should I take? Would you recommend cycling or just taking it daily? Many people say different things so just curious to hear what you guys say. If you wouldn't mind, give me some background on yourself too to see how you compare to me. Things like age, weight, how often you work out, things like that. All input is appreciated! Thanks
 
The answer firsty depends what you want - your goals. Do you want to get bulky? Or are you just working out to keep in shape and be mentally/physically healthy?
 
creatine isn't a big deal just take 5grams a day before you workout. no need to cycle it. don't get any celltech type product just take regular creatine monohydrate and make sure you're drinking the amount of water you should be anyway.

Well I guess it depends on your build and how much muscle you have. If you have a fair amount of muscle and want to keep it, you're going to need to cut slowly and watch your diet. Keep the protein intake high, cut sugars and bad fats.

As for cardio, you could take up a HIIT routine which seems to give people good results. Google it. As for lifting, just keep doing what you're doing. I think what you're gettin at is higher reps/lower weight yielding a more toned look vs. lower reps/higher weight yielding more mass. Either one is fine, just pick.

Diet is really everything when you get down below 10% body fat. Pay close attention to what you're eating and when. Research macronutrition.

it's just an amino acid. the point in cycling a substance would be to prevent down regulation. creatine isn't going to be down regulated so there's no need to cycle. just take it every day.
