Crack resin into resin rock??

Does anyone know how to turn crack resin into a crack rock?? A resin rock?? I used to be friends with this woman and she would scrape her pipe and put the resin on a plate and then she would do something I cannot remember what but she would turn the resin in a rock. I didn't smoke crack back then so I didn't really pay attention. I Wana say she used alcohol at some point? Can anyone tell me what this process is?? It's driving me insane
