this is my fav poem to perform:
a lonely soul
at peace on the porch
emitting a childlike essence
oh so happy
at what has just happened
the little devils that haunted her life
were merely a creation
in fact a realization
her body shouts, "YOU MUST NOT WAKE UP"
but her mind whispers, "you must not sleep"
abrupt silence
shhhhh....
did you hear that?
the porch just ate her
