I heard someone at my school talking about heroin and crack, saying that they will make you physically addictive after the first time that you use them. Is this true?
 
no. that's one of the biggest lies ever passed off.
unless of course the first time you use heroin or crack is a week-long binge, then i could see it.

No drug will make you physically addicted after the first use. Or addicted period. It takes effort on the users part to get hooked on drugs.

i have never smoked crack but i have freebased coke which i think is pretty close and i am definitely not physically addicted. Talk about a headache.

Probably one of the BIGGEST MYTHS INJECTED INTO THE MINDS OF OUR YOUTH ... "use once and you can get addicited" .. sorry, thats not true, you can take a big, IV shot of heroin or a massive rip from a huge crack bong off a rock bigger then either of my testicles (thats actually not very big) - now that may be pleasurable and you may want to do some more, and if you continue to use more, after a period of use then you might get hooked .. but once will NOT make you an addict ..
If you examine "addiction" you will see it's a change in the actuall function with certin aspects of the brain, this takes a pattern of repeated use, not one shot... but as I said, if you suddenly move in with a heroin dealer that likes your coose, and the way your mouth (and other warm holes) feels around his tubesteak, you may do a nice IV shot (your "first time") - you ain't an addict... but that might have felt really nice, and you may desire another - you ain't an addict because you want another... but if you do another, then another, and a week later you don't do anything but shoot dope, well, you're sailing in dangerous waters .. at some point those neurological changes will take place and you will turn into "an addict" ... but it wont happen after your first use...

If you're making that up then it's an old joke, if you're serious, well, may the lord be with you as you're going to die from an overdose ... "freebase" is simply the term ravers use to describe CRACK COCAINE ... it's the same thing ... I know, I know, "crack is made with ammonia and freebase is made with baking soda" .. sorry, the end product is the sme - cocaine freebase, you have liberated the cocaine from it's HCl salt, this can be done with ammonia or baking soda.. it should be noted cocaine is not physically addictive, only psychologically ....

Ah. Crack... the national joke. I know its essence... a damned good high, if I say so myself. Thing is, its too short of a high and I don['t have that kind of money. A sack of herb can keep my high all day... and how many people have eaten crack brownies or enhanced their morning toast with crack butter?
Now, to get serious:
One time never hurts you, man. You won't get addicted, you won't die (I can't quite guarantee this seeing as how I don't know if you're stupid or not, yet... I know I wouldn't die.), and you definitely won't lose your job/get divorced from your wife/end up with kids/turn into a bum. Its one hit, damnit! One hit takes about 4 seconds to fully complete... how many seconds are there in the human lifespan? Lots.
