Hey guys. I just recently got out of county after a 2 month stint. I met with my PO today and he asked me what I'd be doing for my court ordered drug treatment....then asked if it included a methadone or suboxone program. I told him I didn't want to go back on sub(I'd been on it previous to him violating me for a single dirty despite being a full time employee and college student). When I told him I wouldn't go back on it he flipped out and said he'd be setting a court date to get it mandated that I be on it. I live in the state of Maryland. What I'm wondering is if anyone has experience with this and if it's even legal. He's tried to railroad me before to going to a specific drug counselor and I told him he couldn't legally do that...that it's a matter of healthcare and he got mad. It's been a pissing match ever since. Can he legally dictate my healthcare to me? My order just says to go to drug treatment. Any help would be appreciated. THanks

Your PO sounds a bit over-zealous and I'm not sure if he can order this specifically or not. It's best you speak to an attorney to get the best answer because you don't want to end up getting violated again. I have to close this as we don't allow for legal discussion. Good luck and Welcome to Bluelight!
