couple of OTC questions

First of all does anyone know if there is any truth to the rumour that the two halves of nurofen plus are 1 side iboprufen and other halve the codiene ? kinda doubt it but Thought I'd ask just incase some little chemist had decided to make my life that little bit easier...
Secondly, is Hydrocodone actually even available in Aus and if it is what is its brand name. (I realise it prob be script only)
 
To answer your first question...no. Pills aren't made that way...the stuff is all mixed together.
As for the second, no clue...I would be surprised though if hydrocodone were not used in Oz.
 
Interested in codeine?
Go to the codeine section in erowid and you'll find a handy guide to extracting codeine from OTC pain relievers that contain codeine and paracetamol (if you're in Oz that'll be panadeine). Have fun.
 
It would blow my mind in hydrocodone wasn't availible in australia. Not only does it have low abuse potential next to other opiates they use (morphine) it is a very important middle step in opiate pain tolerance, not quite an unlimited opiate but a fuckton better than codeine.
I would bet money it is a script there but the people in the oz discussion could tell you.

W/the N+, I believe that they are. something about the codeine not mixing well with the ibu. Top half is codeine. Try it. Bite in half, chew up top half. Tastes like codeine. chew up bottom half. Tastes like ibu. Fun little trick.

im from australia.. i went to the chemist to get some pills with codeine & found "chemists own" with 10mg codeine & 500mg paracetamol which were the not only the chepest but contained the most codeine. nurofen is suppose to be the strongest pain relever sold without a script so it must be better than the "chemists own". Maybe it does contain codeine.. it would be great if it did & whatever else in the pill didnt have potential to hurt ya body like paracetamol hurtin ya liver or whatever..........
eh hem...
It would be great to know what nurofen actually contains... anyone???
