The ball drops
after hundreds of tab drops,
uniting karmic spirits
like the metal spiral binding of a notepad.
It's an unspeakable bliss of a moment's kiss.
Candie flippin' pre-teens
teaching the difference
between 'fry' & 'roll'
their happy faces bright
as if atomic gasses powered their eyes;
A moment removed from time's grasp.
And with smiley kisses I hugged the floor
dancing to transcend the madness
of a world wrapped up in skirmish;
tribes that have forgotten
their common links--
Like the ravers who say PLUR,
but don't live it.
E-mail acquaintances become bracelet friends,
relating a truth through big, open eyes.
And I smile....and I SMILE
to think of what potential
the future will kick out,
Like a baby I smile....giggling
as I'm tickled.
