Hello. I have been experiencing some visual disturbances lately, and i am wondering if it could be HPPD. It have not at this point interferred with my day to day life, im just curious. I have been using DXM for about four years, with on and off use. Binging for a few weeks, then here and there for a few months, binging again and so on. I estimate that i've done it about 150-200 times, between one and two bottles each time.

My visual disturbances include negative after images, appearance that walls or other objects i stare at to be "melting" or swaying slightly, specs and "sliding" objects in my prephrial vision, size misconceptions, for example, say i am looking at the tv the night stand directly next to it looks smaller than is should be, and when i look at it, it seems to "jump" back to normal, i see white "streaks" of light with no origin, sometimes they are black.

I also smoke weed daily, done mushrooms once, ecstasy a handful of times, coke twice, salvia twice, nitrous twice, alot of adderal and codeine, a bunch of benzos, and LSA a few times. I believe that the syrup is the culprit.
Could this be HPPD?

In my opinion the effects listed do sound sort of similar to HPPD. Personally, I would avoid using DXM so much. That stuff can definitely cause problems. I would usually have persistent change in my night vision for up to a week after taking DXM. Things would appear to shift and move around and I'd see patterns in the dark and shit. It was kind of interesting at first but I got sort of sick of it after a while.

DXM also gave me panic attacks and caused me to have really low blood pressure one time.

DXM puts holes in your brain with repeated use and smoking weed isnt really good if you have HPPD. Good luck though it will get better over time.
