So yeah, could I use a pot and soil that was previously used for growing a plant that turned out to be a male, to plant a clone from a female in? Or will it fertilize the female?

i don't know if it'd cause your plant to become male or if it would fertilize a female plant. i do know that using old soil can be bad because of bacteria growth and alkalinity from nutrient use and expulsion.

throw away the old soil. clean the planter out with bleach-water. get some new soil. don't skimp on god's greatest gift.

^ That does not matter as you don't want to reuse it because the soil has the nutrition deapleted and also more bacteria and other shit you don't want is in that soil. Just go buy a new bag of soil.

I'm thirding that. Get new soil - it's not expensive and will do your plant a lot more good as it will be bursting with fresh nutrients, whereas the old soil will not. Happy growing - I got two males... after all that love I gave them for months, I feel betrayed! And very, very disappointed. I HATE buying weed when it's natural and should therefore be as free as breathing air or drinking water. But there you go, apologies for the little rant attached to the answer to your question. Have an awesome day :)

QFT.

It would be best to mix up your own soil with some earthworm castings, compost, and vermiculite. But basically any quality potting soil will work decently.

Moist mix #1: 4 parts topsoil, 1 part vermiculite, 1 part perlite

Moist, contains medium-high amounts of nutrients. Best for wick and hand-watering.

A simple mix from Ed Rosenthal -- read his books! :)

Peace o/

I started some seeds in pots that previously had males, but it probably has plenty of nutrients from plant food still in it left over, just as long as its enough to get it through the starting stage it would be fine. But use new soil if you can, I don't have much left so I'm saving it for this summer.

nope... everything you make is from females..I guess you COULD make hash from male plants...but they contain so little THC it's not worth keeping them alive unless you grow outdoors..then you got pollination to worry about
