Could I get cancer as a result of drug use in my earlier years?

Back in my younger days (you know – when you think you’re totally invincible?) I consumed a lot of ecstasy pills purchased off the street which, as we all know, don’t generally contain just MDMA alone (and sometimes don’t contain that either). Additionally, on a handful of occasions, I’ve ingested a few questionable “research” drugs as well (e.g. 2cb and 2ce) . Furthermore, I used to ingest a bit of GHB which I converted myself from another form (GBL). <snip>

Fast forward 10 years and I’m a total health nut now. I eat a balanced diet low in processed foods, I exercise regularly, don’t drink/smoke, and I avoid a lot of unnatural and potentially risky stuff (like heating food in plastic containers, and minimising potentially toxic products/materials in my home).

But in spite of this I am a little concerned about what kind of long term health issues I may encounter as a result of the stupid stuff I put into my body earlier on. In particular, I’m worried that some of this crap may have increased my likelihood of developing some kinds of cancers.

Does anyone know what I may have done to myself? Should I be concerned?

If so, what can I do about it?

If you are already living a healthy lifestyle, I don't see a reason why you should be concerned at all. If you are in perfect health condition and have already been checked up by the doctor, then you shouldn't worry about the type of cancers you might develop.

Have you done any type of detox? I think this is the best way to eliminate more toxins out of our bodies.

Some people develop cancers even without drug use so it really depends OP, but what is important is that you are living a healthy lifestyle now so rest your mind and take it easy.

This doesn't realy answer OP question but anyway, I read somewhere that if you stop smoking before the age of 30 your 10 times less likely to contract cancer later on in life.

^what answer are you searching for? A person may or may not depending on the bodies' immune system of fighting the cancer cells. As I have said, the OP is already doing what he can to live a healthy lifestyle so he has nothing to worry about. If the OP is still concerned about having cancer he can have general checkups done to monitor any issues that may arise.

The body has an amazing ability to repair itself, as long as you provide it with the means to do so. The biggest factor that supports cancer growth is actually lack of sleep, followed by nutrition. If you have a health lifestyle alongside light to moderate drug use, then you'll probably be okay. Cancer develops in toxic bodies that lack rest and co-factors to mitigate cancer cell development, and also in the genetically pre-disposed. In some people there may be nothing to do to prevent it, while others can totally abuse their bodies and live until age 90. That's the genetic side, I reckon.

The neurological and psychological effects are another story.

stressing is more likely to give you the big c than a few e pills in days bygone... just relax
