Really I'm looking at serious medical problems that are pushing me more and more to the edge and one thing that bothers me so much is I've been sober a year but I do take norcos I take 4 tens a day but they just don't seem to work on top if that my stomach hurts when I eat and I'm having other problems but the thing is my doctor's check everything. The only thing I can think of is maybe my gastric bypass is causing me to not absorb the norcos. However this is because I had a kind of the gaiety bypass called ds and I was 19 when I had it so I was the youngest person at the time to have it done. I guess I could call my doctor who did the surgery but maybe some over hers heard of gastric bypass and taking norcos?

Has this not been spoken about? The 4 don’t work anymore because you’ve developed a tolerance to them. You were advised to speak to your dr and explain to them you’d like to try a different med on the same level. I advised tapentadol which would be perfect for you as it has amazing analgesic properties.

I didn't know I asked twice. I'm using my cell phone not my computer sorry if I missed that. I'll look that stuff up. Never heard of it. I go to a pain clinic to get norcos and beside that and ketamine the doctor said that's nothing I can do to get more pills ever. She said they will black list me from all drugs pain forever if I even ty. I dunno this doesn't feel like withdrawing and I have other problems like constant peeing, like forty times a day. But the doctor checked me for infection and treated my blood. I feel like if I figure out what's wrong she can fix it but to say that there's nothing I can do right now upsets me.

I Can't go to the er for my pain or for my issues anymore because of covid so I dunno what to do. I get shock treatment for my bladder and my feet for nerve damage beside that I have been walking every day except today's to bad a day I can't leave the house.

Really this is depressing
But I'll check that stuff now MN thank i you

you’re in pain because you’ve built up a tolerance to your pain meds. This is inevitable, for everyone. I advised you in your other thread to make yourself aware of other ways to deal with pain. This can be cold/hot compress’, it can be a warm bath with Epsom salts, a cryospa or a 10min dip in an ice cold bath. Meditation, mindfulness, exercises. The list goes on but there are more ways to treat pain than medication. You’re going to have to seek those out.

If you’re talking to your dr then say you’re worried about absorption in regards to your bypass. They will be able to test that. Also asking to try a different medication that’s on the same level as the one your on isn’t asking for an increase and let them know that. Say you don’t want an increase but maybe to try a different type. I would highly advise against tramadol if it’s offered. Tapentadol is a good pain medication as it’s not seen to be as addictive so the dr should be happy to prescribe you it.

She's going to research the drug you told me about, she never heard of it and doesn't know if it's even carried however she said I could switch to oxycottin which I might do because it's the same amount of morphine but oxy works so much better or at least it did when I was in the hospital last also I'm going to do ketamine 3 days for 1800 bucks . She said ketamine really works for people and maybe it'll cure my addiction. I trust my doctor and I have the money right now so why wouldn't I. I'm pretty miserable for only being anemic really. Yea I got nerve damage from meth and my heart stopping but what else is there?
