Coughing in relation to high

^yeah dementedgoat! Although the variation I'm most fond of is "you gotta cough to get off, as my old grandma used to say.."

Maybe pussies who cough just have a lower tolerance to THC??? ;)

tolerance has nothing to do with how much you cough. you see people take there first hit ever and cough there asses off just because they simply took the hit wrong and didn't expect it.

if i was breathing normal oxygen and inhaled smoke without knowing it then i would probably cough too.

when i cough it tends to kill my high basicly. i get allot higher when i sit back and relax while smoking

True, nothing is better than sitting back and relaxing smoking weed without coughing. It's weird for me now because I would cough like crazy when I first started smoking, but now, I can control coughing. I will have a big urge to cough, but it's like I can control it. But then there are those hits that you always regret because they are DAMN big and you can't stop from coughing.

Coughing always seems to make me higher, however i'm not so sure of the faster absorbtion rates of coughing, since usually when i cough, and i'm sure the same with others, hte smoke is usually already exhaled.

Yeah man, it's like drinking. I get way more drunk if I force myself to puke and passout. 8)

no, It's not like drinking. You'd get way more drunk if you IV'd your alcohol, but you don't do that now do you? 8)

There IS medical truth that when you cough, you're in essense HYPERventilating yourself, and your lungs are EXPANDING more, meaning your alveoli expand. I wouldn't say the capillaries get bigger necessarily. But you are increasing your surface area inside, and that would lead to a higher uptake, and because you're breathing (coughing) more rapidly, you're moving more air, and you're going to probably have a higher blood concentration of THC at that point, which would = a more intense high.

cha-ching.....

not really rocket science to someone who's had some anatomy/physiology classes.

but you know

;)

It's a theory, but its one relying on several assumption as it see it.
-That surface area is the limiting factor in vapour absorbtion
-That an insignificant amount of THC condenses on the lung surface
-That coughing involves significantly deeper lung inhalation

I think all of those assumptions are a bit of a stretch.
