Cough syrup with or without alcohol for DXM

Is it better and easier to drink down cough syrup with alcohol (even though its only 1.4 % ) or without so that its just DXM. What about the effects? Does the alcohol in the syrup make you sick to your stomach or dizzy or something like that? Does alcohol make the experience worse physically in any way?

Pretty sure that amount of alcohol is negligible.

the alcohol helps it absorb, that's pretty much all it does. personally i like a 40 or 2 of OE and a z of max strength syrup when i do dxm.
