Opioids Cotton Fever from dilaudid?

^ i agree it's not funny to hear people doing something i would do because i know how bad it is for me and must have been for them
 
Damn hawk that made me lol... Anyways the dr came In at like 4am looked at my arm said it was fine, I was discharged in the morning. Blythe time I got home my arm was still hurting and now its hard as a rock. Today the pain is a little less but it's still hard and my fingers keep doing this weird thing where they like clench up and feel like they are breaking and I have to shake my hand to get it to stop. I've never had an abcess before but they sent me home with a script of dilaudid and of course my addict mind said wtf why not shoot it up!!!! I got it in my hand and its sore and a little swollen I'm wondering if maybe I have an infection or something? How long do you think it takes before sepsis gets really bad like a fever and what not?
 
Oh yeah also... I went for tests a couple days before I got let out and they changed my room. Anyways the nurse packed up all my stuff. I had a backpack and a duffle bag with me. I got home looked in my backpack and there was an ipad 4th gen in there... When I turned it on it started beeping and said it had been remotely wiped. It was reset back to when you first bought it.. I pretty much got a free ipad. Imagine my surprise. I'm pretty sure it was a doctors. I went to the applestore to return it and the dude told me that if they can't find the owner .. Which can sometimes be hard since he wiped it, they refurbish it and resell it so I just left. It works great and is in perfect condition!
 
ive gotten cotton fever way more times shooting d's than street h. sometimes even with new cotton. if you aint shaking uncontrollably, freezing cold, and spiking one hellacious fever, it aint cotton fever. cotton fever comes on with alarming rate, you can be perfectly fine one minute and 90 seconds later shaking and cold like you're trying to stop a 100 horsepower paint mixer on the north pole. hope op feels better soon.

on an aside, i thought cotton fever, for the time, was worse than pwd. what's worse is when you get both at the same time(while also on seroquel). i will never iv or take another seroquel or sub as long as i live, w/d aint shit compared to that hell.

Dillies are pills, so people will pick them up individually to inspect them, see what milligram they are and all that shit...

Jay is right...cotton fever does not just come from cotton...it is anytime a bacteria enters with your injection.

No, really.. I guess you had to be in that kind of position before to find humor in it.
There's been some sad/pathetic things I've done in my time that I can now look back on and laugh at. Even though it isn't necessarily funny. Idk, dark humor I suppose.

I kinda disagree. I KNOW I've had cotton fever before, however, I wasn't freezing or shaking uncontrollably. Although I did have a bad fever & I was a bit cold.
There's no way that could've been a coincidence shortly after injection of a rinsed cotton.
 
your talkin the 60's and 70's. When they went to the yellow 8's and so forth that all ended. They looked like a small sacrin(suger) pill and disolved in any temp water then.
 
I guess I don't know much about the micron filter. I ordered some (20) and got so little out of it I went to the cotton. I ordered MONOJECT Syringe 3cc 27 x 1 1/4, Luer Lock and then wondered should I use Bacteriostatic Water for Injection?
 
I kind of think cotton fever often times is not a result of "cotton " rather re injecting blood like when yo draw and lose the flow or begins to miss or rig gets clogged and when you re inject for some unknown reasons that particular time you become unbearably sick...freezing fever's etc. It's like when for whatever reason you drink and swallow and it goes down "the wrong tube " not to say it absolutely isn't the cotton I've just noticed every time im blindsided that is the one constant factor? Anyone else?
also...using saline solution ...like contact solution really minimizes sickness bacteria etc.
 
Do you like monoject rigs...bd i like sooo much better but no needle exchange around here and they're much cheaper a box..
But alot of times the needle is leaning to one side like tower of piza?
 
The thing with micron filters is you have to flush them out with more water, or the solution will just stay in the filter, which is no good at all.

Bacteriostatic water is supposed to be diluted prior to injection.
 
I've gotten cotton fever. Roxy 30clean spoon and everything

shot up. Ten mins later drinking at the a bar. I started getting a massive headache and felt weird.. Oh fucking shit I got a get home. The whole bus ride home my back and head was in immense pain and I was sweating. People were looking at me weird.. I had to tell the bus driver to pull over and let me off... Right when I got off I puked for like, 5 minutes straight to now I'm like 2 blocks from my apt, and I could barely walk, somehow I managed to make it. I collapsed on the floor unable to move for hours, so sick I couldn't even shoot up again.
