Correct me if I'm wrong, but are there TWO main types of marijuana?

Indica and Sativa is that right? Cannabis indica and Cannabis sativa? And yes, I UTFSE, but it wasn't that useful. What are the main differences between these two strains? Is one of them a more "stoned" high and the other more of a "high" (stimulating) high? I hope that makes sense. Thx.

Yay my favorite thread again!

But anyway yeah it's indica and sativa, but you've also got your ruderalis it's more like hemp than cannabis, but some people actually smoke the weird looking shit in such places as Russia.

Indica is that body buzz, couch-locking strain that gets you stoned and sativas tend to be more trippy and more of a mental buzz (e.g. better visuals), and although sometimes it's a stimulating high it's more often simply a less fatigued high.

So indica = generally fatigued, body high
sativa = much less fatigued, if at all, mental high

Like 5 threads exactly like this one have been posted in the last month, so I don't understand how you didn't get any search results on this.

is one more predominantly availible than the other? Is one more "favorable" or is it all just personal preference?

hybrids are most common. i find it rare to find a pure indica or a pure sativa, although it has happened. It really depends on your area, and a casual smoker buys it without knowing they're essentially getting a different type of weed. Whether one is more favorable than the other is really just personal preference. try some different strains, feel the highs, and see which one gave you the best outcome. and above all, have fun!

Most of the dope I've grown have been hybrids. The Blueberry I have going now- (Only one plant), is said to be 80/20 indica/sativa. The basic difference in the buzz is as mentioned above.

I would add that indica tends to be a shorter plant, topping out at 4 feet or so, while the sativas can be very tall and difficult to grow under limited height conditions.

people growing for profit are more likely to use an indica dominant strain because of its shorter flowing time, shorter/stockier growth & higher yields.

i prefer sativa but most of the bud available is indica dominant in this area. wish i lived on the west coast. :(

where did you get your blueberry seeds from? i thought it was a mostly sativa dominant plant.

Ruderalis is smoked other places than Russia, NYC Diesel is actually a good 5 ruderalis, which is why it is so short and stubby and autoflowers, also why is flowers so incredibly fast.

lol, no its not. indicas are short and stubby, many other strains autoflower, and many strains(mostly indica) flower fast.

NYC diesel is a cross between a mexican sativa and afghani.

damn...too bad overgrow is still down.

LOL. Good call rollinstnr.

^What the hell do you mean? Blueberry strains are generally 80% indica 20% sativa, hence the heavy stoned high, it's really a hard-hitter.

So can you tell by the look of bud what type of strain it is? Say i post a picture on this thread would somebody be able 2 tell me what type it is or would i need to find that out from the dealer?

No, you can't. You would need to find out from the grower, dealers usually aren't reliable.

how would someone even make a strain that is 80/20?

if it had 4 parents, one which was sativa and the rest indica, it would be 75/25.

Question: Is there any non-ruderalis pot in Russia? any good buds?
