Cooking with Vaporized Bud

Meh, I'd rather vapourise my weed properly and cook with fresh bud. Vapourised weed is gross, but to each his own I guess.

why are you stuck on the vaped weed is gross thing? were talking about making butter. theres no leftover plant matter in the butter once youre done with it. who cares how bad it looks? thc is thc.

The butter is going to pick up the flavour of the vaped weed; and the quality of the edibles is determined by the quality of what you put in. You vapourise weed to get rid of lots of the tars and other non-active shit, why ingest it afterwards? Anyway, like I said, if it works for you fair play, it's just not my cup of tea.

i know people who feel like cooking with completely fresh bud is a waste just as much as you hate the idea of cooking with vaped weed. its more of a compromise, and given that eating thc is a different effect its pretty fair. if the effects were the same from eating vs smoking i would be on your side with this, but theyre not so i think its fair enough to plan ahead so you have some still potent enough vaped weed to cook with.

i also severely doubt that flavour will be an issue with your vaped weed butter, after you make it into cookies or brownies or cake or whatever.

^The thing is, if I were cooking, I would use hash, because I really enjoy the flavour. Butter made with vaped weed is either going to taste of nothing, or have a mild but pretty nasty taste. Like I said, I'm sure it works, and it seems efficient, it's just not really my thing. I think I'd probably prefer to make oil from my vaped bud.

its redundant to cook vap'd bud, it is medically advised for patients to grind remaining herb into powder consistency and fill 00 gel caps.

because of the way a vaporizer works, any THC left, and yes indeed there is some, has been activated, or cooked already. this does wonders at fighting severe inflammation for me, and THC addresses inflammation more directly then CBD's.

reheating would only compromise any THC remaining.

you dont reheat it to anywhere near those temps when you make cannabutter. youre just extracting the leftover stuff out of it. you extract it at a maximum of 100 celcius, because thats what water boils at. not going to compromise any thc.

as for making oil instead of butter.... cant argue with that one. im not partial to oil or butter in particular, other than based on whatever i feel like eating at the time.

always save your vaped weed! one of my favorite edibles are 'cano krispies...

Use 30-50 gs of vaped weed to cook some oil, put the oil into two trays of rice krispie treats....guaranteed to knock your socks off!!

So you can gelcap vaped herb and swallow it and it will work? How many gelcaps do you usually take? How many 00 gel caps would you reccomend for a lightweight?

the 00 gel caps are whats recommended by most the physicians, and clinic operators around here. double 0 caps filled with fine ground vap nugs. every now and then i will leave some green spots or leave it still a bit sticky, and just eat 1.2-1.5g out of my palm in one toss and gulp, and it still takes on the traits of the plant when smoked. i ate some pineapple express & sour diesel sativa vap buds/grinds i save for days when the pain is too much, and still had a very strong 'psychedelic' like mental high, walking through walmart was bizarre, keeping a strait face and my eyes from watering was a choir. plus what i was praying for, a good amount of relief of inflammation in my back and shoulders.

the caps i have had with hash contained maybe a 1/6 a g per. it seems like you could fit a good amount ground finely. a lightweight? i havent done this but id guess 2 and a few tokes. 5, yeah couchlock id suppose. eating it is so much stronger+last so much longer for 90 or something % of people, and eating the vaps as are will getcha good if you dont fry it out, and start tasting pop corn or w/e.

i take marijuana for a serious fuckin permanent auto immune progressive chronic pain d/o, thats making me try not to grind my teeth atm, so take my word for it, leave some green, see if you can leave some stick to it, and eating 1/3-1/2G should get a lightweight good, if 1.2-1.5 of some decent sativa helps that kind of inflammation and gets me that lit up, they'd be close to a meltdown.

:)

i got a bag of vaped bud using lightbulb, it's probably 50% smokeable and bad taste. should i put them in the gel caps? 000 is for mdma so 00 smaller? i read somewhere that put cooking oil in gel caps will activate thc!?

You can't just bang the oil in with the weed, you have to actually dissolve the THC into the fat.

this is intresting

The THC is decarboxylated by the heat, but it still needs to be dissolved in lipids or alcohol to get into your system.

My buddy makes his cookies with vaped herb butter. They are outstanding. Put most people on their ass. I think I smoke too much to notice if its the cookie or the smoke making me feel good. So yes, cooking with vaped herb is fantastic.
