    Welcome Guest!

Convincing my brother too try MDMA

I get the feeling he only hasn't tried it because he feels he has a hold over me (I.E. he could tell my parents) so if he tried it he would no longer have that hold.

But yeah i'll just toss this idea aside until he comes to me. Thanks for the advice people.

haha this guy sounds very much like me towards my close mates before i tryed MDxx. I used to absolutely despise drugs! couldnt understand why people smoked weed, done poppers and what not. Then i found out my mates were taking xtc and i went ballistic and tryed to convince them out of it but with little success. After chatting extensively with my mates i realised that i had no reason or evidence to support my argument.

After about a month or two we went to a rave and one of my mates jokingly was asking if i wanted to buy some and i thought about it and decided well fuk it, your still alive, and by the looks of it most of the people there were on it and still alive so i thought at least if i try it il have some reason to hate it... (¬.¬ haha silly me... how can you hate pure happynes and loveyness) any way i took a nice rock of md and i spent about the next 3 hours hugging everyone around me and floating about the dance floor ^_^ never looked back... so in a sense im glad i tryed it but its very difficult to break the habit because you just think, hang on, this event would be insane if i pilled + i will have massive energy! win win! rather than drinking and gettin tired half way through. but anyway thats my story :) hope it helps!

I see no problem with educating people about drugs. Think about it: most of us are exposed from early ages to the 'danger' and 'evil' of using drugs, then some of us find out that we were lied to.

So what is wrong with explaining to other adults the truth about various drugs, and letting them try it? By simply standing by and accepting their reason that "its bad for you, blah blah blah", isn't that just as wrong as telling them the lie in the first place?

Granted, I never push a drug on anybody. I won't tell them "c'mon, just try it, you'll love it, etc", but I will explain the benefits and consequences to them. I've changed several people's minds about the truth on drugs by doing this.

There's nothing wrong with explaining the benefits, the side effects, and what might happen to you while on the drug, but what MD was saying that it is wrong to try and force someone to take the drug after they've heard all of the above and still said "No". It's about respecting people's wishes.

How I've convinced everyone....

Hi-
I got my brother to roll with me on
my bday, and it was a beautiful transforming experience. The absolute best personal experience piece on MDMA was written by an annonymous author in 2001. It's a long read, but everyone I've ever shown it has wanted to roll after reading it. It was published in The Guardian.

Simply google: confessions of a middle aged ecstacy eater

I'd just ask him to please take 30 minutes to read the article to understand what MDMA means to you. I wouldn't approach it as "read this and you'll want to roll!" lol, he might be defensive.

I really hope you convince him to share the experience- i would love to hear how it goes. Much luck and love to you.

:)

It depends how old you guys are.. I mean, I'm assuming you kids are probably 16 or so. Hopefully you're 18 though.

You shouldn't encourage use if you're still young. But if you're mature, and he is, I think it's okay to encourage use. I mean, it's not like you're convincing him to do heroin or something. I was convinced to try alcohol, and I am very glad I was. But it was still all my choice...

You should just try convincing him to take it, but if he doesn't want to, then he doesn't want to. And leave it at that.
