Converting H from HCl form to freebase for smoking???

Anybody given this a try simply for smoking??? Not really too phased about cleaning it up etc.

Would be simple as dissolve in a polar solvent and basify until precip - then filter??? Any recommendations for base and solvent if so???

Can you get tar heroin?

If you can only get powder heroin, try snorting it. I think smoking it is a waste - very short lived, peak dies down nearly immediately.

Yeah just snort it it will last a lot longer than if you were to smoke and and save you the trouble of trying to convert it (which you may just ruin your dope trying to do)

No tar in this country.. mostly powder hcl - often cut with caffeine to make it easier to chase - sometimes brown powder that needs acid to dissolve properly which is obviously better to smoke.

Mostly snort it anyway but was curious if it was worthwhile to convert a g or something to make it better for smoking.

If anybody has any comments regarding this I'd like to hear em and not just being told to snort it or bang it.

Why don't you try this:

1 - Put in glass distiled water

2 - Add ammoniac to the water very slowly until the pH is around 10 to 13

3 - Put the heroin HCl in an small flask or other adequate recipient and add small amounts water with ammoniac. Put just enough to cover the heroin with some liquid.

4 - Use a non polar solvent like naphtha and put it in the small flask used in step 3. Shake as hell for a few minutes.

5 - Separate the non polar solvent from the water with a syringe for example

6 - Put the non polar solvent in a plate and let it evaporate.

7 - Then you will have heroin base, and a lot purer than it was before cause the things that were soluble in water will remain in the water.

8 - Smoke as you wish..

PS. If you want to reduce the heroin lost during this procedure then you could do the 6th step (evaporation) in aluminium foil, that way all the heroin would be there..

PS2. I've skipped a step after step 3 that would be filter the gunk before adding the non polar. But if you do so you will loose more heroin and if you skip that step then you will loose very little heroin if any..

I believe you made some typos....a based substance would have pH 13-14, not 3-4.

You can smoke the HCL. I do it all the time. You put it on foil and chase, very simple, from what I have read the BA is about 50-60%, somewhere close to smoking. Heroin is very versatile, it, in just about any form can be abused effectively by all means barring oral consumption, buccal or sublingual.

Its 50% if you cut with caffeine at about 50/50, if you dont i think its more like 30%. I think, i'm not sure.

Does anyone know around what pH the dope would be converted to it's free base? Just like pretty much everyone on this website, I do not have access to lab grade chemicals, unless I wanted to steal, which I would never do. Furthermore, I am too worried about my health to use the department store shit.

I have read somewhere that morphine is converted to its base between 8.5 and 9.5 pH. diacetylmorphine, or heroin, should be similar to this, shouldn't it? The amine group is active sight responsible for the "free-base" conversion, and the two acetyl groups are on the opposite side of the molecule.

Does anyone know what the exact pH for conversion is? I've searched all over the internet for an answer, and this thread was the closest thing I found. A quick reply would be awesome, I don' think I can wait much longer so it I would really appreciate it.
