Conspiracies, false prophecies, hatred and vulnerability… Where does this lead?
Inconsistencies, probabilities, truth hidden in closed armories. How can we succeed?
Insanity, profanity, needs left unfulfilled, we are minions to those in power… Progress cannot build.
Paths to be followed, we are led like sheep to the slaughterhouse to those who feed. We cannot succeed.
Lives to be crushed, children to be abolished, lights flare brightly only to dim into darkness.
We must find the truth, we must find the way, for freedom is our only gift, they wish to take away.

I enjoyed this poem very much; good work. I've been finding my mind going back to the bigger picture lately, and you've hit on a few details here and expressed them nicely.
While reading it, though, I had to admit my attitude toward the world hasn't helped matters. My attitude has, a matter of fact, often been one of "insanity, profanity", and I have, more often than I admit (and, for those who know me, more often, perhaps, than is evident), succumb to "conspiracies, false prophecies, hatred and vulnerability". Indeed, not at all productive.
But truth is so hard to find these days, and we all too often fall into the habit of handing over our freedoms for the illusion of security, safety, stability. (The fucking PATRIOT Act, for instance, as well as every regulatory agencey of our government.)
It would take a lot for the human race to succeed, at least the way I define the term, but I still have that glimmer of hope it can happen. If not, it's all too obvious where all of this will lead -- one hand of the human superorganism fatally stabbing the other. Unless we cooperate with and respect one another -- and to succeed, as you said, "we must find the truth, we must find the way" -- it cannot end any other way.

i like that. just always follow your own heart, your own soul and do your part to do all you can. and maybe then with enough people like us we can turn this world around.(or we'll die trying).
