Random question here but I can’t seem to find more info or real answers to a question I have been searching for. So I get prescribed 90 count of 15mg Roxicodone 3x a day along with my OxyContin 10mg @ 2x a day and I also take 75mg of Lyrica 2x a day. I don’t quite know what it is, but I haven’t been getting the relief or results that I seem to get somedays, like almost as if everyday the effects change, even with same diet and even empty stomach on some days. Any suggestions on what I can do to get the relief I’m looking for every single day? Thanks in advance for the replies or suggestions.

Yes I am on oxycodone and I always use it on an empty stomach. However I went to Drugs.com( a legit prescription drug site and said there are no instructions on whether to take with or without food).

I read in Health Central that Lyrica can take days or weeks to work regularly the way it is suppose too.
Drugs.com writes that it may be taken with or without food.

Ok, I think the issue is that Lyrica can take days or weeks to work properly.
Also I am on it's little brother Gabapentin. The Gaba drugs are weird
and you should not suddenly stop taking it or risk withdraws if taken for a while.

On your good pain days you take as little as possible or let yourself withdrawl so that on the bad pain days you’ll have lower tolerance and extra medication hoarded where you can dose higher if the pain is high. But also when you dose, dose only enough to tolerate the pain and function…don’t shoot for achieving a 0 pain score. If you can function with a 2 or 3 shoot for that.

Opioids for pain are all about maintaining the lowest tolerance possible.

Very well said and very true. You summoned it up perfectly. More people should know and practice this when taking opioids for pain relief.
