Bluelighter
Flames, YES! a pyro is in the city,
fire department's worst enemy back with morals all too shitty.
Creeping in doors, waxing hallways and bathroom floors,
victims slip in attempting an escape, trying to defeat their horrible fate.
I stand in amazement as the building, so crisp, begins to shatter,
like a beautiful romance taken apart by the Madd Hatter.
A part of me urges to run in,
but the overpowering trust in reality leaves everything else to fry within.
Black tar smeared over his face, with a sort of raspiness in his breath,
a man stands next to me looking like he's never stopped to rest...
"ahh, what a masterpiece. such a brilliant design. I didn't want it to start in this building, I only meant to blow up that sign..."
This man is a villain, but a pure being at that.
He never once thought twice about it, giving him more faith
than a ball player at bat.
Finally I walk away, not regretting a damn thing. I'm relieved by the art of such a mind blowing criminal, but at the same time, feel horrible for the one's bleeding inside.
Somehow, someday, I'll find a way, to bring back the scenery,
where my mind can see beyond the gray.
