So my question is does concerta have any value for energy after opiate wd. Does it have any rec value at all really. I have some generic 27 mg and was told it can help with the malaise that comes after opiate detox....anyone versed on this?

Works well for me, but can increase anxiety if you are prone to panic attacks stay away. Otherwise it will help with RLS, lethargy & depression.

^What he said.

I have taken Concerta for ~10 years. No recreational value (unless you need to study)...You're appetite will definitely go way down. I remember the first time I took my Concerta, I couldn't even finish one cheesburger on the McDonald's dollar menu on an empty stomach.

Aside from that you'll experience laser focus, less depression, a different sort of anxiety that won't be a result of withdrawal but rather over-stimulation.

I don't have a lot of experience with methylphenidate, but I definitely feel that stimulants (therapeutic doses) can give you a boost in positive motivation during a time where one typically can feel pretty flat and unmotivated. I've always found amps/stims to be very helpful with getting through days of work that just tend to drag on especially if your brain is trying to reach homeostasis after a period of opiate abuse.

In my experience, as long as the dose is kept at a reasonable level and you don't go overboard trying to chase stimulant euphoria, they can be helpful during this situation.

Yea they should help am addicted to both have been prescribed 81mg for ages now been on it in total for 13 years they will help you focus an just get your day to day stuff best of taking at least 2 or chewing one up because of their slow relese
