Concentrated Codeine?

One of my hook-ups dabbles with diffferent shit all the time and a while back he briefly came in contact with something I have never heard of. I haven't even heard of anything that could fit this description, just wondering if anyone could shed some light...
The description he was given was that it was a basically a "super concentrated codeine" syrup or something to to that effect, but codeine was for sure the active ingredinet. It was meant to be diluted by some process, then re-sold. The actual name of the stuff began the letter "p", but he couldn't think of it off the top of his head. Only thing I can possibly imagine it could be with what he had said, and pertaining to the letter, "p" is Codeine Phosphate, but as a "super concentrated syrup"? It was gone almost immediatley, and apparently people were paying upwards of $1500 an ounce or so for it (That price may be for more than an ounce of it, maybe it was %1500 a gallon, but I thin it was ounce, so maybe that doesn't help much).
Anyways, I have never heard of anything like this, but people payed 1500 dollars for it, so I would imagine it is something worthwhile, perhaps not codiene. My guess is that the active chem wasn't codeine (Shit, Who the fuck would be dealing in codeine syrup for goddsakes with so much better shit out there), but since on one ever actually tried it before it was gone, I don't know anything more about it.
Oh well, just when you think you have heard of everything, something new comes along, I was just curious if anyone had any guesses as to what the substance was, thanks...

Paregoric? Just a guess. My grandmother used to keep a fair sized bottle around the house for whatever ailed her. Until the docs would not script it for her any more. This was in the 70's.

ALPHAMARA makes a product - Prometh w/Codeine which I'm looking at a bottle of right now, that I have put away for a rainy day!
5ml = 10mg-codeine and 6.25mg promethazine hydrochrloride and 7% alchohol
Its not quite that strong but this bottle I got is 473ml(1 pint). But I don't think a bottle this size is reddily available.

I hate that stuff. The prometh just ruins it all. However, it does potentiate, and others might enjoy it. There is a reason that it is just a C-V though. I think that the paregoric would be much more likely candidate for the first posters question.

Hmm...there is a prescription cough syrup that contains codeine, called "Phenergan", but it's not super strong and i don't think people would pay that kind of money for it. Perhaps someone had access to a lot and concentrated the codeine in it?

Oxycodone is available as a concentrated solution of 20mg/ml. An ounce(30mL) of that solution could possibly go for anywhere from $150 to $1200 depending on where you live. I'm not sure what brand makes the syrup, but one of the brand names of oxycodone is Perolone. Whether that is syrup or tablet form, I have no idea.

I think that at least one of the brands of oxy syrup (drool) that your thinking of is Oxy Intensol, manufactured by Roxane Labs...They are the proud makers of many CII narcotics, including my personal favorite, Roxanol.

Paregoric is anhydrous morphine 2mg/5ml. My grandmother had this sitting on a table next to chair in the livingroom. It was in a BIG (for a narcotic) brown glass bottle, 16 ozs or so. Mind you, I was about 8-10 at this time and I was told never to touch it. Of course, I opened it and it smelled wonderful and tasted a very small amount. Just like licorice! Yum! Too bad I was too young to realize just what it was.

Phenergran is just promethazine. its not for coughs its for extreme nausea.

Phenergan w/Codeine is indeed a prescription cough syrup , TrippinTreeToker. It is not an antinausea medicine, and it would not make sense for an antinausea medicine to contain an opiate! PLEASE STOP SPREADING MISINFORMATION. THINK BEFORE YOU POST. I am sick of your ignorant and potentially harmful "advice" in Health Q and A and I don't like your comments here either.

Phenergan(promethazine hcl)is an antiemetic, antihistamine, and sedative-hypnotic. It is used to treat nausea, but I have mainly seen it used to knock people out post-op.

>Isnt Promethazine also called Compazine?
Compazine is a tranquilizer used for extreme nausea, but I dont know the technical name.<
Compazine is a brand name of a different chemical. Can't think of what it is right now, but I know it isn't promethazine.

You should try Roxanol Intensol...I had the fortune to come into possesion of a few ounces a couple of months back. It's 20 mg morphine per ml...100 mg per teaspoon.

Prochlorperazine (sp?)

No it wasn't Paregoric, that's the first thing that came to my mind as well :) But I have been reassured time and time again, it was definitely NOT Paregoric (I've actually been wanting to run in to some forever, that would have pissed me off so bad)...
This is basically all the concrete information I can get out of the whole situation, right now, as it was only around for a fleeting moment and hardly anyone came in real contact with it...
It is some sort of concentrated syrup, meant to be purchased and then diluted.
The active chem was Codeine, but there may have been more to it than that.
It sold for $1500 a gallon and was snacthed up almost immediatley...
Now, going by common sense, I am going to assume there was definitley more to this shit than simple boring largley useless, Codeine. I mean, come on, why they fuck would people be dealing in mass quanttites of fucking Codeine syrup? So far, I think that the guess of it being concentrated Oxycodone, going by the brand name Perolone, while not fitting all our parameters, is the best guess so far...
More information is being gathered as we speak, and if I find any definite word as it what it was, I'll definitley update, thanks for all the replies...
