Comparing two pills from the same batch

I recently aquired sevral pills that I've yet to try out but I noticed when looking at the batch, some of the pills are light green, others are a much darker green. Perhaps they were formulated differently? maybe the manufacturer ran out of dye, I'm not sure. Any ideas ? I aquired them all at the same time from the same source. I also noticed that darker green pills are a much harder press

Could be any number of reasons for a color difference. USUALLY if the pills are the same shape, logo, texture they'll have pretty similar ingredients even if the color varies a little. Only way to know for sure, though, is to test them. I've even gotten batches of pills that had the same logo but were different sizes with different edges and slightly different color. Tested exactly the same though.

It's really dependent on how well the presser mixes all of the ingredients.
