Comparing GHB euphoria to opioid euphoria?

ghb feels more chemically induced

opiods feel more natural

i prefer opiods for the fact they make me feel normal yet euphoric, whereas the high on ghb makes me feel artificial yet euphoric.

^ Because of rule #10 in the OD Guidelines, which I am assuming you have already read:
"10 ) NO BUMPING YOUR OWN THREAD BECAUSE IS HAS NOT RECIEVED ANY RESPONSES "Bumping" is the act of replying to a thread so it will regain position at the top of the forum. Please do not do this. More often than not, most threads that disappear to older pages still get answered eventually. Please be patient."

Anyway, this is like comparing apples and tire irons. Have you had either before? That would make the comparison easier. GHB feels like benzodiazepines or alcohol (though much better). Opioids are in a league of their own. I've never heard of people selling all of their possessions, or their body for that matter, for GHB. For opioids like heroin it happens all the time. There is no comparison to the warm blanket of nothingness that is opioid euphoria. I'd go into more detail but I don't want to relight that fuse.

yeah i was big into both benzos and opiates for a good while before i cleaned up my act and got control. however i usually feel depressed when i use benzos/drink so i tend to stay away from them. so GHB is euphoria like alcohol? if so it's not really for me.

Hmm...
Can't compare them two... i do not think.
GHB is dreamy,"heavy/light" and the same time, horny, wanna do stuff.

Opioids is more... feel good where I am now, leave me be!

The two drugs are incomparable. They are two completely different types of drugs that work on two completely different types of receptors to cause two completely different types of effects. Yeah, they both may sedate you because they are depressants, but that's where the similarities end.

This question is more of an opinion question: Do you prefer the euphoria caused by GHB or opiates?

I think a person can compare two different types of drugs, especially without unwanted sarcasm. To me GHB euphoria is like to the really clean part of a great vodka buzz, mixed with a small amount of benzo-type euphoria. Opiate euphoria is like being submerged in a never ending blanket of perfectioin, than engulfs every ounce of your being. I definately prefer the opiate euphoria.

Where is this unwanted sarcasm you speak of? If you thought I was being sarcastic, well, I wasn't. I don't think anyone else was either.

And yes, you can compare them. You can compare apples to oranges - one is red, one is orange. You can compare concrete to bowling balls - one is flat and rough, the other is round and smooth.

You can't, however, say which is better. Some people prefer red, some prefer orange. Some prefer rough and hard (lol), some prefer round and smooth.

See what we're saying?

Maybe that's because GHB is a much less common drug. People certainly lose all their possessions in pursuit of alcohol's euphoria.

They have next to nothing in common. The warm euphoria with alertness and motivation and such is probably the only thing I've noticed.
