Me again...

Can't figure out what I have. It started on the 22 december as a sore throat and fatigue. Then it became a runny nose and cough with phlegm. On the 24th it was more or less gone - except the runny nose.
But on the 27th it was back again. Feverish feeling, chills, cold sweats and head ache. Almost identical to WD's (but I just doubled my subutex dose).
What is going on?

The reason I'm confused is that it has lasted fairly long now, and can simply go away for a few hours - in the morning usually - and then flair up again in the evening. By 5 o' clock my have chills and an coughing up a longue (and genuinely wanna kill myself rather than continue in that agony). Then the next day I'm ok in the morning.

Sub masking cold?
Or is it depression attacking my body? (I AM very depressed due to unemployment and some rather demeaning things being forced to do by social security, plus some issues with my partner.)

I wanted to see a doctor, but everyone tells me I'm overreacting and it's just a cold that will go away soon.
But I can't stand this constant illness.
It feels like when I had pneumonia, only not so hard and that never went away and came back.

I read online that colds tend to go away and come back... Myth or fact?

It sounds like you have a cold, or maybe something more like bronchitis? Generally speaking you don't catch the same cold virus, but since your immune system is already low then you're at a greater risk of getting another virus, and it usually attacks your body stronger due to this.

Also, when I'm sick, I feel extremely depressed. I'm not sure if there is a correlation between the two or what the science is behind it, I just know that I'm miserable and even more depressed when I'm sick.

It always seemed like opiates masked my cold when I was in active addiction, but perhaps that's just because they made me feel so good.

Do you have health coverage? You may have now caught something that requires antibiotics, so I encourage you to get to the doctor so they can rule out anything else.

Feel better soon <3

Go to a doctor, you're not going to get any conclusive answers on the internet.
That being said, I'm confident in saying it's not your depression, though it could be indirectly related if you're not eating properly and low on sleep, etc.

Abject raises a good point, OP. We can just speculate online, so I'm going to close this.

Feel better soon <3
