Coming to a natural end of psychedelic experimentation

A couple of days ago I had a fairly good trip on 2c-e with a few friends but I feel like I have gotten everything I can out of psychedelics and while I still have a good time on them, I gain very little new insight. I think this is partly due to the fact that everything in my life is now in order and I am excited to move forward with just the fond memories of my 2 years of experimentation (possibly a little too much) behind me. It has been the best 2 years of my life and I feel I have become a much better person because of it. I have got the best group of friends I have ever had and we have connected through psychedelics, I am doing well at university studying biochemistry ( my interest in drugs and how they work led to my interest in this subject, and in some ways my knowledge of drugs and how they work is helping me on the course ) and I am in a beautiful relationship.

Thank you bluelight PD for informing me on how to go through my voyage safely and how to get the most out of these experiences we all cherish. Of course I may experiment again especially if my life takes a turn for the worse, after all life is all about ups and downs, but the ups are what makes the downs worth living for. Of course I will still visit because I am extremely interested in reading other people's experiences and learning even more about what makes psychedelics so special. But thank you again for contributing to the best period in my life :)

Peace <3

Good for you man! Psychedelics really are medicine for the soul. I'm with you as well, my last LSD trip gave me everything I needed and since then, I have started a great, new life without drugs! Good luck to you and all you do.

sounds like a good idea to me too! glad to hear it OP. however, if psychedelics have taught me anything, its that im sure that i cant ever be completely sure of anything!

I know 3 people who say they've ended their psychedelic journey after having 2c-e.
What's up with so many people ending their journey's with it. Maybe it's a coincidence, who knows right now.

always nice to hear positive news from a fellow psychonaut. may the rest of your "trip" continue to be filled w light and happiness.

Godspeed!

Although it is probably best if you do stop for an undertermined amount of time. You probably already know as you have exp, but a lot of the insight and amazingness will go away if psychedelics are used regularily, so maybe a few month break is what you need. Goodluck

I've kind of done this too. I used to trip a lot on a lot of different research chemicals. I've still experimented with some recently, but not like before, and I usually don't find myself aiming for strong +++'s anymore. I feel like I've learned a lot from tripping, but lately, they just don't open door like they used to for me.

I like the compost analogy: If your mind was a compost heap, then taking a psychedelic is like using a pitchfork to stir up and blend everything together, so that something new and fresh can grow in it. After you've stirred it up enough, you don't really accomplish anything by stirring it up more, until you've added enough new compost (life experiences).

My old tripping buddy who was a fair bit older than I was, said that he would go through "phases" of wanting to trip. He began this 3rd phase of tripping after he met me and I introduced him to research chemicals. So even if you're "done" tripping for now, you very well might want to indulge in a 2 or 3 year psychedelic episode again in 5 or 7 more years or even less maybe !

I still like doing LSD at raves whenever I get the opportunity though. I think there's a lot of good recreational potential in psychedelics. I don't handle alcohol too well sometimes, and find that shrooms and LSD, not soo much the RC's though, are great for social recreation, in the right setting. I find RC's require too much attention to set and setting to take them at anything less than a nice outdoor or at home setting. And I find I get the most out of them when I have tripping partners to share the experience with.

2C-E was my first foray into the 2C class. It definitely isn't the "journey ending" for me. Hell, Mescaline is still on my list unfortunately. One day I'll eat me some cacti. Only psychedelic I've no desire to return to at this point in my life is DMT. 30mg vaped and a roller coaster ride through hyperspace with a gigantic paternal light being singing to me through waves of energy... I'll come back to it again, but not anytime soon.

As Alan Watts says, "When you get the message, hang up the phone!" :)

I'm glad to see psychedelics have helped you improve your life in such a way.

i find that psychs make several music environments MUCH MUCH more enjoyable..

i often wont dance AT ALL sober in front of strangers.. give me some 2c-x and or some molly and its on -- ill be dancing like someone getting paid to dance its amazing!

Does it really matter if you gain anything? I trip cause it's fun.

There are two reasons I trip.

1. For the insights/personal growth triggered.
2. Because it turns the trivial/boring everyday life into an adventure. Every task becomes a quest in part of the epic journey I happen to be taking part in. It makes life more like a fantasy game in my mind. I always call tripping on LSD as "Reality on Hard Mode".

In short... it's fun.

i agree that lately the "opening of the door" etc. is less, but i still enjoy tripping for the "fun of it." thanks for posting though, as this might help me check my own usage. for example, i shouldn't just eat a hit of L at home on the weekend for the fun of it (did that this sunday). i should save it for special occasions and when i can introduce/share it with my friends

i'm also studying biochemistry and have a wonderful fiance.

As Alan Watts says, "When you get the message, hang up the phone!" :)

And as I always say when anyone says this Watts quote - remember just a few years after claiming this, Alan died a pathetic alcoholic, drinking his way through several bottles of whiskey a day in utter misery.

Whatever message Alan thought he got clearly wasn't the right one. If he'd kept taking the LSD instead of the alcohol he would have lived a much longer life.

LSD is good for you :D
