@ Joey -Don't sweat it, it's only been 6 months. I too am a runner, and was going out for over 2 hour runs, so roughly the same amount of mileage as you. I remember how I tried everything the first time I came off the injection, but this time I'm saving my money and my mind by just letting it ride. I doubt you'll be the same in another six months, it just takes a while for the med to run its course. I still gain weight from the injection, and I'm off it 11 weeks now, so hey be thankful that isn't your story as well!

@ Joey -another thing is that I could not get a good night's rest before I started taking this Geodon. It seems much of what the Invega was supposed to do it already stopped doing (ie curb mania) but the med is still very much wreaking havoc on my body overall. If you are in a slump it is possibly because the med has in large part stopped working--- figure that one out! It's terrible, but you'll get past it.

I used to take Geodon. Couldn't even hold a job on that medication. 'Made me sleep 12 hours a night. My dad made me go to work after sleeping only 8 hours. Almost crashed my car. 'Was falling asleep at the wheel.

If it works for you, that's great. Just don't smoke weed on it.

i cant even go for more than 2 minutes on the step machine before invega i could go 10 minutes and libido still low as fuck
has anyones libido fully returned?

@iridescentblack -that's funny you mention the sleep thing, because when first coming off invega i was sleeping about 2-5 hours a night and practically sleepwalking at work. i just knew an accident was coming because i was dealing with confusion all the time, and finally I ran a red light I did not even see and was hit from behind. Fortunate part was it resulted in a fender bender.

@dull did you not get some raging hormonal sensation when coming off it? It may be different for a female, but I remember that part from coming off of it last time as well. The neatest part was the butterfly sensation, and having the most sensational crushes on people. It makes you feel really alive. I can only hope you get to experience it at some point yourself.

@dull when first coming off of it again, just the thought of this boy I liked gave me butterflies for minutes straight. it's pretty amazing, the cool things it can do to your body and mind

@Invapo how many miles are you able to run as of now being 11 weeks off the injection? I feel so weak I can't run. And I barley feel emotion. The only emotion I feel is anger. This is ridiculous how they can get away with it. Those that tell me to get over are annoying because they never got the injection. When you fully recovered how many miles were you able to run the max.

@Joey oh man, when I fully recovered I had energy for days. Now I can kind of jog-run about three miles, but that's pushing it. I really wanted the whole thing not to have happened again, and I made myself go out for an hour around town one day after only about 2 or 3 weeks of being off it. It was rather uncomfortable, and I felt like I had gel-filled, flabby legs. My legs cramped up a lot and were extremely heavy. It was no easy task, but I did it; however, when I saw that I was still very much the same weight afterward, I said to heck with that and I am just going to wait to push myself till I can shed some of the fat. The last time I got off Invega, I started out by pacing around the house for hours (I did not work at the time) and lost some weight that way before I got into running.

Certainly. When I was going through it, I was very much alone; there were no discussion boards and I thought I was the only one who couldn't lose weight or get drunk, things like that. I'm glad this board is here for everyone now.

Don't worry brotha so do I.. I haven't done shit these past six months. We just have to stay positive and support each other as much as possible. What else can we do this shit is a poison and should be outlawed.

@iridescentblack I get the feeling alone thing, I mean in my daily life I go out I go to work and I try to explain to people, No I'm really not up for this and that right now because I just don't feel like myself. And people try to push to get me to do things all the time. I want to take a few months off and just hide out in my apartment but I have to have some income so that I can keep the apartment in the first place. I'm going to give a magic number for Invega: 15 months. After 15 months I was back to my original weight with energy to spare. So no cryin' the blues if you are not yet at fifteen months! ;o) You will get there! I only wish I had a keyboard so I could kind of hide out a bit and come up with some music while I'm trying to hide from the general public (again).

@Invegasucks I so wish I were at the six month mark. I've been feeling very tired the past couple days and I think I have to cut down on my Geodon a bit, or try doing like 2 days on 1 day off or something. I'll be honest though, even though I have no worries about coming off the Invega this second time, it's still nice to have this little board to check in with on the regular. I like it here, I like you guys xo)

The 27th will be 17 months off for me (I know I said I was 17 months off before but I miscounted). I am still not quite recovered. But then again, I received more doses than most of these fine folks :). I'll probably be recovering way later than most of them who've been off it not quite as long as I have. That's okay, though. I have things to keep me busy.

I'd give you my keyboard if I could... can't even play the damn thing like I used to because of this poison.
