Going well so far! I took the Bupe at 2mg about an hour ago, WD symptoms cleared up immediately. A buddy came over and dropped off another 8mg Sub. Oh happy day.
Ironically, he used to be one of the worst Oxy addicts I've ever met. He'd do anywhere from 500-800mg of Oxy/ day, no joke. He's been on Subs now for 2 years and is down to about 12mg/day. He's done just about every Opiate on the planet EXCEPT for Tramadol. He took about 8 50mg pills at once before (I would NEVER have told him to do this, he just did it on his own, he's a good kid but very, very reckless) he left and then called me telling me he's never been so high in his life except before his Oxy tolerance skyrocketed. I was really shocked. I followed up and he luckily didn't have a seizure or anything, but I'd be scared shitless to try that high of a single dose of Tram. I've seen people have seizures from 300mg.
Anyway, I think Tram is very much a "it works for some and not others" type drug. To hear this kid say how fucked up he was I think is very indicative of that, even if he took 8 pills. I've heard of people taking 8 pills and not feeling a thing with Tram and I KNOW people who take 100mg and feel fucked. So sketchy, bizarre, and hit or miss. For sure.
For me, Tramadol is actually an effective pain reliever with a very nice anti-depressant quality. I get no euphoria whatsoever from it, but it gives me a pleasant mood lift as well as a DECENT level of sustained analgesia which I'm very thankful for. Oxy of course would nearly eliminate my pain, but only for a short while.
