So I have been on adderall for about 2 years now. My use now has definitely tapered down from where I once was. I take 30 mg one time a day only as needed or if I feel I need it for class. I want to completely take adderall out of my life. I've been off for 2 days now, however I fear the withdrawal symptoms because I am taking summer classes and I have a test on Monday. I will try to study sober as that will help taking the test sober. I have been doing well in class and I really want to stop I just don't want it to negatively affect my grades

In my experience it takes a few days for withdrawal symptoms to set in, coinciding with its half-life of about 11 hours. Are you prescribed it? Do you abuse it?

No never abused it. I am prescribed 1 in the morning that's all I take. Like a year ago the max I would take 2 a day then I stopped for a month and recently started. And never take more than one a day. I don't even do it everyday. I have class 4x a week and don't even take it every time I have class but when I don't I'm super bored and uninterested.

Should I worry about negative effects from stopping during the test? Its been longer than 11 hours. Last I took it was Wednesday afternoon and I don't feel too different/tired. I felt worse last time I stopped adderall

IME you wont have any withdrawal
i used to heavily abuse dexedrine (an amphetamine similar to adderlol but stronger), and i just quit and other than being depressed (which i always was, not due to using) i was fine.
and i used to use up a whole 120 count bottle of 10mg dexedrines in 2, maybe 3 days if that tells you anything about how i used.
30mg per day amph is nothing, on some real shit.
any supposed WD is just all in your head, like you thinking you're gonna feel shitty so you do.

I always run out at the end of the month ( appts are always like 5 weeks out ) and don't have any issues with withdrawal symptoms. If you have ADHD and take it as prescribed you shouldn't have any issues.

* forgot to mention I take one 30mg xr in the morning

Dexedrine is d-amphetamine which is also a component of the amphetamine salt mixture of adderall. Ive never tried it but people say it's more euphoric less speedy then adderrall.

You'll sleep a lot and eat everything in your cabinets ad refrigerator. Ready-made meals are great since you won't be able to focus on following a recipe for a real meal.

Great suggestions here.
I believe to be on the d-isomer mainly. Adderall is a mix of the two. Rebound effects for me were spinal shivers, not pleasant but lying down and taking a rest helps. This can last for up to 5 days.
Eat if you feel, but be gradual. Milk at first, then wholesome cereal. Work your way up to solids. Magnesium chelated during as a protective measure.
Depression could be a factor after 1 or 2 days perhaps owing to the half life. This would be dependent on if your already on an anti-d.
Lot's of foods rich in tryptophan, turkey for example.
Best wishes

Sure, regfairfield is correct.
This us a fast track to replenishing the depleated neurons in as far as I know. But yeah it's up there with various other DA (dopamine) replenishers that can pass the blood brain barrier.
I'm not sure if it should be used post, pre.
Anti oxidents, ALA, COQ10, ACETYL L CARNITNE.
Each to his/ or her own.
Just always have magnesium fast absorbtion. D-amp is a nuero oxidative nightmare.
One step at a time, don't think about stacks.
Everyone is different, Mg first doctors best, spend your money there, then a stack to replenish.

Don't chew it though, just melt, sublingual, or under the touge no.
It tastes like pepper, when it starts to burn take it out onto your stash of chewing gum, sugar free.
You'll know when. You can't OD on Mg.
