for someone who is dealing with anxiety, or has deep-rooting issues that trigger anxiety, a psychedelic experience can be extremely therapeutic or extremely traumatic. however, if there was a drug to add to the mix - one which was safe for the brain, can be used without major tolerance after the first several times, and long-lasting enough - than one can create a psychedelic experience that's way more likely to be therapeutic.
some ideas...
- phenibut. i've tried this and it's effective, but tolerance is so high i don't consider this drug a good candidate.
- lower dosage of DXM. possible issues with brain health with long-term use, some tolerance, not super long acting but perhaps good enough in this department.
- benzos.... this seems more like an abort than an alternative. that key is - you don't want to loose the psychedelic experience, and benzos can do this.
- opiates. haven't tried combining them with psychedelics yet. pod tea lasts for a while, so that one can be a good candidate.
- kratom. tried this on a come down, was good. but kratom is too short-acting.
- alcohol. also very short acting, though one can take sips once in a while to curb anxiety. hangover can be an issue as well.
so no solutions to fig the bill perfectly, some are way better than others. any other ideas? there are of course non-drug solutions, like meditation or hypnosis or setting, but drugs can be powerful, and if there was a safe an effective way, this can be a really therapeutic experience! let's discuss.
