I usually find that if a pill goes dark purple/black fast (3/4 secs) then its usually quite a strong pill, but say if it goes light purple/purple/then to black over say 10-15 secs then its usually not as strong. is this what its supposed to indicate or am i just jammering a load of nonsense?

AJ is absolutly right, and as manufacturer of EZ test, what he told you is true BUT :
I tested more that 15 pills in a real lab. So i can compare ez results with the lab results.
What i can say is that the speed of the reaction does not say anything. But the STRENGH of the reaction can.
Each time i put a clear purple reaction pill to the lab I always had from 30 to 50 / 55 mg of MDMA.
When i put a strong purple reaction it goes often more that 80 mg.
I must say that i always test in best conditions, at home, with a "fair amount of the substance" and under a big light.
I refused many pills because of the weakness of the reaction. I published all these results on pillreports.com
Sure this is just an indication, not a probe. But i think that the rule " strong reaction (not FAST), the more MDXX ther is, and vice versa...

yep, i've seen that too, but i've also seen the reverse. basically it isnt good science, more a rule of thumb, which is very innacurate.
