I PM'd brutus, if any other mods have any input, feel free to let me know.

This thread will be for the discussion of the new cannabis shops in Colorado.

For all adults 21+ years of age, Cannabis is available to purchase from a growing number of retail locations in the State of Colorado. Later this year, Washington state will incorporate similar businesses. Of course, legality comes at a price; legal marijuana in the State of Colorado features additional 'sin' taxes, currently making current prices above black market value.

With that being said, what have your experiences been like at these legal cannabis retailers thus far?

Why buy it at the store if you can get it on the street cheaper? I guess if you want a specific kind the shop is gonna have a side variety. But on the other hand if I an save money buying it on the down low then that's what I would do.

Im movin to either colorado washington or back to northern cali this summer to open up my dispensary finally. Anyone have any input on what type of hoops ill need to jump through to make it happen.

^ The market is kinda flooded man. Also, for an example of hoops, for rec in Colorado, it will be another 2 years for anyone not currently holding a license to sell medical to apply for one. I would def look into it more though, I mean, I'm not actually out there so I can't say with firsthand experience. I have talked to a lot of experienced, older folks on other forums though and a lot of them recommend sticking it out in an illegal state and waiting for its laws to change rather than trying to get into a market that already has a lot of people in it.

well Ive kind of had this business model planned since 2010 then i got into some legal trouble so now im finally getting back to where im ready to get it going. And my state i dont see changing their marijuana laws before im ready to peace out of here. And i think i have a pretty unique idea for my dispensary that from what ive seen in other business models hasnt been done yet.
