For a couple of years now I have had the occasional rectal bleeding when I poo. Dark bright red water. No pains. No real changes in bowel movements, a consistent diet.

The last 2 months the bleeding has increased much more regularly. Im usually constipated, but other times not so much.

I would bleed for a few days, then it would stop. The past week 90% of my poos are dark/bright red blood, but what's starting to change is when I wipe there is dark/ black mucus on the toilet paper along with the typically blood stain.

I sit there there, constipated, manage to fart but not actually follow through anything.. and im spraying the whole toilet bowel with blood.

I have booked in for a colonoscopy (saw the dr last week)

My question is has anyone who has been diagnosed with bowel cancer experienced these same symptoms.

I have not lost weight, I am not overly fatigue.. but there is usually discomfort in my stomach and can feel it "building up"

Even after a bowel movement within 2 mins im needing to go again, like im not abe to get it all out.

If anyone has experience with this and any input I would greatly appreciate it. Obviously until the scan gets done I won't truly know... the biggest red flag seems to be constipation and black clotted/mucus when I wipe.

The water often makes it look like so much more, but perhaps a polyp that just needs attention, I'm glad you're getting examined,it will all pass you will be relieved and right as rain soon.Keep us posted, get well.I was so comforted, that screening was negative for cancer.

Good move on going for a scan. It will either set your mind at peace, or allow treatments to commence as early as possible, which will help the prognosis.

I also have a number of the symptoms. But they are highly irregular and not all of the time. And one of the things I do is to take various amounts of kratom on and off, which acts in the same way as opiates in the way it affects your bowel movements, although to a lesser extent.

So it's highly likely that that will account for many of the irregularities with my stools and digestive system. It's a complicating factor for sure.

I occasionally get blood either in the stool, or on the paper when I wipe also. I'm not sure if that is normal or not.

I also often get the feeling that that I've not been able to get it all out. But I've had that for a long time.

The most worrying one, is a small bulgey spot spot that feels very tender near the surface skin of my stomach. I have no idea what it is, whether it's some kind of vein, or mini hernia, or quite what exactly, but I should probably get it checked out, next time I notice that that weird bulge feeling very tender.

I've got some blood in the stools too (when wiping) for years now, on and off sometimes. It's only very rarely that it was really a larger amount of blood.

Most of the time it's 1 or 2 wipes with a little bit of blood, not super dark red.

Use all kinds of drugs, mostly addicted to opioids the last 4-5 years. It can get pretty bad and painful.

Perhaps you can investigate or try out the following things, which I have experimented with moderately myself to some effect.

Licodaine cream/gel, you can apply this around your anus. In case you have (internal) hemmorhoids this should lower inflammation, swelling. Potentially stop the bleeding if the cause is hemorrhoids and not something more serious. Inform with your doctor to be more clear.

What also alleviated my symptoms back in the day was applying much coconut oil in and around the affected area. I've read online that people also perform Vitamin E enemas to help with all kinds of Colon issues. Supposedly very effective in healing your colon. (search for lowtoxin forum on google + enema, colon or similar themes to read more)

I wish you best of luck in solving your issues, hope it is nothing too serious!
