Yeah it's incredible how great you feel post-shower/bath!
Holding my head and especially back of neck under the water is the hardest part and subsequently the part of my body that when doused, makes the most difference to my anxiety. Increasing cranial circulation could be an important aspect of it's anxiolytic efficacy. I actually look forward to doing my head/face/neck the most simply as it's truly where the "challenge" lies.
I might have a hot bath tonight, seeing as it's sunday and i'm having a relaxed day.
Think it's been years since I last had a hot bath. Always been a shower kinda guy.
Partly because as a young child I distinctly recall my playful frolicking being interrupted by a hasty glance down to see a brown foreign object submerged betwixt my thighs and howling with tears!
What was this brown log floating seemingly trying to attack my legs?! I hadn't a clue and from that day on, i've been terrified of baths.
