Coke smell

Recently in my area, some cocaine has been passed around that has a peculiar vinegar smell. It is a rather strong smell, and I was wondering if anyone knew any chems that would cause this smell.
This coke is particularly strong and definitely contains a good deal of meth, but that wouldn't account for the very strong smell of vinegar. I thought maybe the smell could be due to a re-rocking agent, but I have no real knowledge of what is used in that process.
Any help or thoughts would be appreciated.

how do you know that your coke "contains a good deal of meth?" and not just strong coke?

Since I posted, I found out more about this coke. It is very good, but it actually contains ephedrine. The reason I know this is that a friend with a specific allergy to ephedrine had an allergic reaction to it. It also has the taste in it of ephedrine, which some friends and I mistook for a speed taste, due to not having much experience with meth.

Does it smell like acetone? Acetone is a common agent in recompressing cocaine - maybe with ephedrine in your case.
