Got a complicated situation+question here. So I just got a gram of coke, seems to be pretty pure stuff. But I'm coming off a week-long bender of taking clonazepam tablets, I took maybe thirty or forty 0.5mg tabs over the week, and I stopped 3 days ago. I'm also on 20mg of methadone (prescribed) daily, down from a peak of 90mg, but benzo's and alcohol and other GABA drugs seem to produce a bit of w/d despite the methadone - probably because I'm getting to a low dose. There's also the fact that because clonazepam's half life is so long (up to 50hrs), I have no idea when the w/d of it would actually start, and how long it would last. When I did a bender of valium, the w/d didn't start until 6 days after I stopped.
So I'm not really enjoying the coke, its mostly just making me feel sweaty and anxious, making my scalp feel all tingly and giving me a mild headache, plus I did several lines last night and woke up with some pretty bad diarrhea (could that be because I swallowed the nasal drip? I figured spitting it out would be a waste). I'm pretty sure its not because of the coke being cut - it tastes pure, it looks kinda sparkly, it is mildly compressible, it is slightly difficult to get into a fine powder even in low humidity - I'm pretty sure its pure. But I did find that if I had a couple beers with it, it was perfect. But as soon as the beers wore off, the coke became uncomfortable again. Now that could be because of that magic "cocaethylene" that gets produced when you mix alcohol and coke, or it could be that the beers were holding back the clonazepam w/d enough for me to enjoy the coke. Alcohol does that for me - I find that alcohol can replace benzo's, and vice-versa, and I believe it's because they are both GABA drugs.
(don't worry, I know that alcohol+coke/cocaethylene is very dangerous for the heart - I don't drink enough to get drunk, a stomach issue prevents me from drinking anything other than 1 or 2 beers)
So I'm also prescribed 0.1mg tabs of clonidine to go with the methadone management program. I usually don't take them - a whole 0.1mg tab of clonidine knocks me right out and puts me to sleep, but a quarter-tab (25µg clonidine) can be a good anti-anxiety agent for me - not like a benzo or anything, more like an anti-caffeine. (and since clonidine is a sympatholytic, it is literally the opposite of caffeine, and cocaine, which are sympathomimetic) A quarter-tab seems to be pretty good at calming the negative effects of coke and just leaving the positives - not as good as alcohol, but is it safer? Or is the fact that I am taking a sympathomimetic and a sympatholytic at the same time kinda like pulling my heart in 2 different directions?
Anyone else here have experience with coke and clonidine? Or coke and benzo/alcohol/GABA w/d's?
