I'm considering courses in the field of Cognitive Science, and I am looking for the best possible school.

I am interested in the University of Colorado's program due to its emphasis on theory and application.

Any suggestions on other programs or other useful information?

What degree are you seeking? Bachelors, Masters, PhD?

I'm looking into PhD programs and discovered UC San Diego seems to have a good cognitive science department.

I'm not sure if you know this, but most colleges will not let you go all the way through from Bachelors to PhD. At some point you have to cut the umbilical cord and apply to a different school for your graduate degree(s).

Really?? Wow. Yeah, I had no idea. I've been an autodidact for a while, and I'm still a proponent of what is called unlearning, but at some point it just becomes necessary if you want to delve any further in the field..
Plus, I can't be taken seriously when I publish my books if I'm not properly qualified ha.

That might work out well then though, because I really did like the idea of Boulder.

Thank you.
