Hi I've been taking Tramadol and codeine for a couple of years now. I've tried cold turkey but it's to difficult with my family and work responsibilities. I'm after any advice over if there is anything I can take to reduce the withdrawrals
Thank you in advance

not trying to be a dick, I'm a junky and have been for a while now, but tramadol and codeine aint shit man. be lucky you're having the withdrawals you're having. the only problem is tramadol w/d which is extremely similar to SSRI withdrawal, and from personal experience that can be really fucking bad. codeine withdrawal? Most junkies are using codeine for withdrawal, not withdrawing from it. The shit that you're addicted to is what most people taper off on, so you have no weak opioids to taper off with. for w/d, get some loperamide-Imodium-helps with the shits a lot.

I would say taper off on methadone, but you'd probably end up overdosing/getting high as fuck/getting addicted to m'done, which is a much worse habit than codeine or tramadol. M'done ain't shit to fuck around with when you don't have a big habit. I used to think I had a big habit when I was using 15 mg of methadone a day; now 15 mg wouldn't come CLOSE to even getting me out of withdrawal. get some benzos (but dont use 'em for too long) and Imodium, god bless man opiate withdrawal is hell even if it's codeine and tramadol

I wouldn't suggest Suboxone or Methadone for withdrawals as these are much more addictive than codeine and tramadol. Both will probably get you high with your opiate tolerance and you'll just become addicted to those.

Maybe just tapering would help. Loperamide is essentially an opioid and will help with some of the physical symptoms. Loperamide is an opioid-receptor agonist and acts on the μ-opioid receptors in the myenteric plexus of the large intestine; by itself it does not affect the central nervous system like other opioids. Also some pregabalin should be very effective, will also help with the physical symptoms. Benedryl can help for some of the sickness and symptoms of watery eyes & runny noes. Can help for your stomach too. BENZODIAZEPINES will be very helpful but you have to watch your intake as they are very addictive. Ambien will help you sleep but if you can't find that then buy some night time Nyquil or something like that. I'm not suggesting you tae all of these, just giving you some options. Many people are finding out how helpful pregabalin is for withdrawal symptoms of opioids and benzos. I'd have to say that at the right dose it may even be better than benzos.

taper off the codeine first, than taper off the tram.. or even better.

one word: BENZOS = my cure for any w/d
