hey
i've been taking pain killers for about a week because of a broken bone, i woke up this morning and thought i was going to die, i was so fucking itchy everywhere....anyone know what can help?

Anti-histamines will help. Opiates release histamines which causes the itchiness.

benadryl works fine, but it gives me a fat headache and puts me to sleep so I don't take it.
Allegra is my (prescription) antihistime of choice. Doesn't make me tired, works all day. Can't really beat it, imho.
Codeine has always been the worst for me as far as getting itchy from opiates, so I switched to a better opiate.

When I broke my shoulder, I always found it was helpful to have some tylenol pm on hand to be able to sleep through the night. Tell your ortho doc you need something stronger....
